Learning Everywhere: The World Is Your Classroom
What if, while crossing a bridge on vacation, a student could learn - right then and there - the fundamental concepts about how the bridge was made and why it doesn't fall down? As a teacher, how can you provide the best outdoor learning experience for your students? Our current theme focuses on answering these and other questions, and helping you create meaningful learning experiences and opportunities outside the classroom: at home, on field trips, in Summer camps, on vacation, in the park or wherever you can imagine.
It is now possible to access digital content using mobile technologies such as PDAs, cell phones and notebook computers. This month NEEDS gathers many of the best learning resources - those that mobile devices can access and those designed specifically for mobile devices - to help you provide effective and enjoyable learning activities in the field. We invite you to browse all of our "Learning Everywhere" resources.
Learning outside the classroom and with mobile devices is our theme this month and we welcome your input. If you know of useful resources that you don't see in NEEDS, please register if you haven't already, as you will need your User ID and Password, and... submit them to share with others!
