News at NEEDS

The 2006 Conference on Service Learning in Engineering will be held May 23 - 25, 2006 at the National Academy of Engineering in Washington, D.C. Proposals for posters for this conference are due January 15, 2006.

On January 4, 2006, the National Academy of Engineering announced the 2006 recipients of the Bernard M. Gordon Prize. Seven engineers and scientists will share $1 million in prizes for their achievements in the field.

NEEDS is merging with TeachEngineering to form a unified engineering educational digital library with resources for all - 'K' to 'Gray'. The Engineering Pathway is under construction now, so please visit www.engineeringpathway.com!

NEEDS is pleased to host resources for the NCWIT Digital Library. NCWIT has joined forces with Cisco Systems to address gender gap in IT, as announced in their November 7, 2005 Press Release.
 

Premier Award 2006 Submissions

Call for Submissions Premier Award 2005
The Premier Award competition is open to a wide range of submissions of "high-quality, non-commercial courseware designed to enhance engineering education." The submission deadline is July 14, 2006, 5 p.m. PT. Please visit our 2006 Premier Award Submission page for more information.

You don't have to be a Premier Award entrant for your courseware or other learning resource to be cataloged in our Digital Library; we welcome all submissions of new learning resources. If you would like to add a resource to the NEEDS Digital Library, simply register if you haven't already, as you will need your User ID and Password, and... submit your resource!

 

Premier Courseware of 2005

Premier Courseware 2005 Two entries were named the Premier Courseware of 2005 at the Frontiers in Education Conference.
