1. Windows NT Users may be unable to "View" the Courseware. (10/8/2001)
2. Macintosh User can view copies of the courseware if they install the Joliet Volume Access extension. (10/8/2001)
1. Windows NT users may be unable to "View" the Courseware. (10/8/2001)
There appears to be a problem with some installations of Windows NT 4.0 that prevents the user from "Viewing" the HTML based courseware included on the CD-ROM. This applies to Demonstrations in Signals, Systems and Control; In Hot Water Case Study; and the Virtual Car. This problam does not affect Windows 98 or Windows 2001 users.
There are two work arounds, the first is to link directly to the file on the CD-ROM.
- Demonstrations in Signals, Systems and Control is available at D:\Signals\index.html
- In Hot Water is available at D:\index.html
- Virtual Car is available at D:\Virtual-Car\index.html
The other option is to link directly to the courseware author's website.
2. Macintosh users can view copies of the courseware if they install the Joliet Volume Access extension. (10/8/2001)
Macintosh users can view the In Hot Water case study in its entirety and the background files of the Virtual-Car. To read the files you will need to install the Joliet Volume Access extension in the MacUsers folder. Use StuffIt Expander to decompress the files and copy the Joliet Volume Access to your System Folder: Extensions folder.
